Ryan Natzke has joined the Madison Radicals ownership group. He joins current owners Tim DeByl, David Martin, and Chad Coopmans . The team with the second most wins in American Ultimate Disc League history will begin their 8th season as a franchise in 2020.
“We are excited to bring Ryan onto the team as we build on the success and growth we have had over the last seven years,” said Radicals majority owner and Head Coach Tim DeByl. “Ryan's experience with the sport and relationships in the community will be a great asset to the Radicals organization.”
Since the team’s founding in 2013, the Radicals have become one of the winningest teams in the league with an all-time regular season record of 82-16. Madison has claimed six division titles, along with winning the AUDL championship in 2018.
“The Radicals are a great organization and I am proud to be a part of the team. Madison truly is the ‘Capital City Of Ultimate’ and I hope to help us build upon our success and growth,” said Natzke.
Natzke is currently the Chief External Affairs for Marshfield Clinic Health System where he oversees all lobbying, marketing, and communications for one of the largest rural health care systems in the nation. Along with playing ultimate since high school and now coaching youth ultimate, including his 12 year old son, he has a passion for the sport along with executive experience to benefit the team with partnerships and events. Ryan and his family live in Middleton.
“The Radicals are committed to the Madison community and creating opportunities for youth and others to watch ultimate being played at the highest levels of the sport,” Natzke said.
“I believe we have a tremendous amount of growth opportunities within the greater Madison community and for the AUDL in general,” said Natzke. “We plan to bring our fans a great game day experience and great play.”
