Ottawa faces Toronto in final game of Canada Cup regular season

August 31, 2021

The Ottawa Outlaws will play their final home game of the season this Saturday, September 4 at 6pm against the Toronto Rush. The game will be played at TD Place for the first time in Outlaws history.

For the first time this season, fans will be allowed in the stands at the Outlaws home game, a large factor in the team’s decision to move the final game to TD Place from their usual home stadium of MNP Park. Saturday’s game marks the conclusion of the Canada Cup regular season; the Canada Cup Championship Game will take place in Montreal on September 9.

The winner of this week’s game will earn a trip to Montreal to take on the Royal in the championship. The Rush have defeated the Outlaws in two of three games this season, and historically have been the dominant team in Canada. But the Outlaws have come out strong in 2021, handing the Royal both of their two losses this season; Ottawa ranks first among Canadian teams in offensive efficiency.
